Annual Symposium and Student Global Health Day

November 13, 2009; Ann Arbor, Michigan

Annual Symposium: Strengthening Health Systems to Improve Global Population Health 9:30 am-12 pm, Palmer Commons, 4th floor Forum Hall.

The symposium will feature case studies from three countries: India, South Africa, and Ghana, where substantial health system reform efforts have taken place over the past decade. Three speakers who have played a key role in these efforts, and who are members of the CGH External Advisory Committee, will present.

Student Global Health Day
1:30-3:30 pm, Palmer Commons, Great Lakes Room Central

The Student Global Health Day will feature two speakers followed by two to three student poster presentations. Students are encouraged to submit their poster to be one of the 16 featured on display. A reception and poster viewing will follow the speakers until 5 pm.

International Symposium

Joint Indo-US Symposium on Climate Change and Health
August 31 – September 2, 2009; Goa, India

The symposium will consist of a focused group of scientists who will be able to describe and build upon ongoing scientific work to address these objectives. A set of 8-10 brief presentations accompanied by short papers will be requested in advance of the symposium.
